The Linton Drive In opened in 1948. Sound was provided by two very large speakers on each side of the screen. In 1950 a tornado destroyed the screen and a new one was built. In 1952 the two large speakers were replaced with individual in the car speakers. When this pic was taken the speakers were one year old the new screen was three years old.
