Are you still working or retired? Retired from job as air traffic controller with the Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center after a four year stint in the USAF. I was also in a TV and appliance business located in Plainfield, Indiana, and worked as a consultant for a company which manufactured sun tanning beds.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? My wife and I have become Snowbirds as of this past winter. We hope to spend six weeks in Florida this coming winter and then three months a year, thereafter.

Hello All:

I am incredibly fortunate in that I am healthy and have good friends and a great family. I have been married to my second husband, Rich, for four years. We met while on an organized trip rafting through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River, which would have been a wonderful experience even if we had not met. Rich is from Seattle, he eventually sold his business and moved to Sacramento. My brother Chuck ('65), sisters, Janelle ('69 or '70 or thereabouts) and Amanda ('83) and I are fortunate to be good friends and, although we are scattered across the Midwest and CA, we make time to be together and our kids are much loved by all and choose also to spend time with one another and us.

I have been practicing family law (dividing people, their children and their money in the most sensitive and knowledgeable way I can) for 20+ years and I still work full time. My only child, Jennifer, decided at nearly age 40, to go to law school and she plans on joining me after she finishes law school next year. The really good part about that is that the two grandchildren are nearby and Mom and Dad are willing to share them with us on occasion.

My parents (both of whom are still alive and doing reasonably well) moved to Indianapolis four years ago and I have not been in Linton since their move. Before that, I was there three or four times a year and almost always there on July 4 for a family gathering. It still seems strange for Linton not to be "home" anymore and I miss driving by all the familiar places and experiencing the memories those places provide - and the fireworks on July 4.

While it may not be my best memory of high school, there is one which, for some strange reason, comes to mind more than any other. If my memory serves well, when we started high school, there was a new principal by the name of Kelly. On the first or second day of school, a group of us were milling around the locker area (and probably being as obnoxious as only 14 year olds who have not a clue about anything can be). Principal Kelly came around to tell us to calm down and behave and used the word ASININE in describing our behavior. I think the memory stuck because I had no idea of what the word meant but was pretty sure a new principal would not describe his students as the back end of an animal even if that description were deserved.

May you all have a good reunion and celebrate life, whether we were asinine or not!!
